HP m477fdw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good morning all,

I have seem to stumbled upon an issue with my HP m477fdw printer at home. It has been displaying a firmware error while starting up for the past few days. Is there anything that I can do to resolve this?

What I have tried:

I have tried restarting the printer and trying to "reset" the NVRAM using the instructions from some different printer models. I can't seem to get this to work on the m477fdw, I guess the instructions might be different.

I have connected it to my PC via USB (it is not on the network using wireless) however this does not do anything.

As I cannot communicate with the printer from my PC, I am unable to upload any new firmware to it, unless this can be done with a USB-pendrive or something similar that we can plug in to the printer and have it boot up from that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Dennis
