Hi,

 

Our printer was working fine at one point yesterday however an error appeared on screen (both device & printer) saying there was an issue when printing. On the printer the error message read "HP instant ink cartridge cannot be used until printer is enrolled in HP Instant Ink." There were issues with our printer and account around a month ago with billing information but that was resolved and the printer has been working fine since. Around the same time new cartridges were put in from the instant ink programme. Briefly looking online we tried updating the software on the printer and cleaning the cartridges but no luck, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is your printer online? 

 

Try rebooting the devices -

 

1) Turn off the Router, Printer, and the computer/ mobile devices. 
2) Wait for 60 seconds. 
3) Turn on the Router first and wait for all the lights to stabilize. 
4) Turn on the printer and allow it to configure itself. 
5) Turn on the computer/ mobile devices.
 

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

 

Have you checked you HP Instant Ink account page? Your Instant Ink account page will have notifications if there are any issues with the account or recent cartridge shipment, it will even provide solutions on how to fix the issue. You may log in to your HP Instant Ink account page from here.
