HP refused to provide technical support on new printer unless I pay for support

HP support stated that I would have to pay for support because they did not know how to fix my printer.  They installed the “Basics” softfware, later, I installed the “Full drivers and software.”  I would like it to be installed with a USB cable installation.

I paid Walmart insurance, but when I called them, they refused to give me any coverage because the printer never worked, even though it is brand new.

I have a brand new HP LaserJet Pro M148f-M149f printer with Scanner/Fax but it does not work.  It is not over 30 days so, HP says they will not take it back.  So much for a 12-month warranty.

I cannot get my printer/scanner/fax to shake hands.  Driving me crazy!
