Solved!

HP7858 need setup cartridges or bypass

HP Envy Photo 7858

We just got a donated printer to our school but it doesn't include the set up cartridges needed for the startup process.  I followed the instructions in other threads to reset the printer successfully but it will still ask for the setup cartridges. Does anyone know how to work around this issue or where could I get them?

@Boi83, Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

We need to perform a reset on the printer. The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

I bought an HP Envy 7858 from Sams.  It was a display and did not come with cartridges how do I bypass this at setup?
