Operating System: macOS 10.13 High Sierra

Please, can anyone advise, is there a working "downgrade" to 1828A firmware for the 8610? Is there a way to uninstall and reset printer to factory settings and get rid of the dynamic security feature? I almost ruined my printer thinking something was wrong with the printhead due to the "ink failure" and "printer failure" errors. [edit] Has anyone successfully overriden the latest firmware update? Please reply. Many thanks!

Hi,

Launch and follow below Firmware Update Utility from your Mac to install firmware version 1828A and remove Dynamic Security for your printer:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/ojp8610/s/OJP8610_1828A.dmg

Thanks for your response. I have tried to install firmware version 1828A with no success. The updater tool tells me that it does not contain any upgrades for my device. Am I doing something wrong? Why won't it install this version?
