HP Envy 4522
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Can I get the HP printer assistant for the envy 4522? And if so, how?

I've read up that it should come with the full features download which I have done through the software and drivers page for my printer but this only provides with HP support assistant, where it says everything is up to date.

I am looking to scan in a large amount of photos and need to be able to adjust the printers scanning settings, is there a way I can do this outside of the HP printer assitant?

Thank you for your help!

Hey there @Ridler23, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!

I understand you need to know how to get printer assistant installed on your PC.

Don't worry I'd like to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

I understand you are trying to scan a large amount of photos and you need to do this outside of HP printer assistant.

You can download and install the HP Scan and Capture App from the Microsoft store and check if it helps.

Please try the steps recommended below.

Scan documents and photos from your HP printer using the HP Scan and Capture app.
Turn on the printer.
Place the item you want to scan on the scanner glass or load it into the automatic document feeder (ADF) if your printer has one.
Search Windows for Scan and Capture, then click HP Scan and Capture in the list of results.
Click the menu icon, then select Settings.
Click Select Device, then select your HP printer.
Click Document Scan Options or Photo Scan Options to change any settings, then click the back arrow.
Click outside the Settings menu, then click Capture Documents or Capture Photos.
When the scan completes, click the save icon.

Refer this article to know more information using HP Scan and Capture App.

Let me know if this helps!

Have a pleasant day ahead! 🙂
