How can I turn off double-sided setting when printing from the browsers?

When printing from the internet/from Web browsers using HP OfficeJet Pro 8720, how do I go change the settings to turn off the default double-sided printing? I am using a MacBook Pro.

I know how to change the settings from printing from a PDF and from Word and other offline applications. When it comes to printing an article directly off of the Internet, I see "Two Sided" as unchecked, yet it prints both sides anyway. Please advice.

Hi,
Follow these steps to disable two sided printing:

Open the file you would like to print. From the File menu select Print. The Print window appears.

NOTE: The Print window might be minimized. Click the Show Details button to see all available settings.

Click the settings drop down, it will usually appear as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.

Select Layout from the drop-down menu.

Set the Two-Sided option as Off.

You may save the settings as a preset by clicking Presets > Save Current Settings as Preset...

By doing so and completing the print job these settings will remain default till another preset will be used in the future.

I'm having mixed results from these instructions. 

They are successful when printing from Word, and browsers Safari and Google Chrome.

Might print single sided on Adobe Reader PDFs, but I have to change settings every single time.

Will not print single sided at all from Firefox, even with "Double Sided" unchecked.

How can I make HP OfficeJet default settings to print single sided from every application?

I cannot get it to print single sided either. I’ve tried the suggestions.
