Everytime I startup and log onto my PC, I get a notication from Windows 10 asking me if I wish to launch the HP Smart App. How do I prevent this annoying message?

@neilFawcett, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Let us follow these steps to resolve this issue:

  • On your PC, Select the Start button, then select Settings  > Apps > Startup. Look for HP Smart and turn it OFF
  • If you don’t see the Startup option in Settings, right-click the Start button, select Task Manager, then select the Startup tab. (If you don’t see the Startup tab, select More details.) Select the app you want to change, then select Enable to run it at startup or Disable so it doesn’t run.
  • Restart the PC and check.

Let me know how this goes.

There is no such "HP Smart" program in the start up list.

Yet, on booting up and logging in, I always get this bottom right? I don't want it!

Follow the below steps to turn off the notification

  1. Click the (Windows) Start menu and choose Printers and Faxes.
  2. In the Printers and Faxes window, choose Print Server Properties from the File menu.
  3. Click the Advanced tab.
  4. Clear the Show Informational Notifications For Local Printers option.

I hope that helps.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
