HP OfficeJet Pro 8720
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

During the initialization of the printer (HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 ) I had a choice of 5 types of connectivity. By mistake I disabled "Network" and "Ethernet" (thinking I could go back and change it later).  The wireless blue light is now always off. When I press on it the message "This function is deactivated. Contact the person who configured the printer" (that's me !). No menu items give me access to network or wireless settings. There is no IP address on the Printer Report.  I cannot find a way  to access the administrator menu to change reactivate "Network" and "Ethernet".  No online instructions address this issue because they all assume that the printer will detect the network and get an IP.

Is it possible to reinitialize the printer and activate all the connectivity types ?

Thanks for your HELP!

Denis

Hi Denis,

Follow the HP Print & Scan Doctor below by selecting your printer, then press Next:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/HPPSdr.exe

Press the top Print menu and select Resets Menu, then press on Memory Reset and confirm.

Power on the printer and follow the steps on screen, be sure to select Self Managed this time.

Shlomi
