I work at a law firm with a bunch of shared printers and we have an issue where printed documents are never claimed and a lot of paper is wasted daily. When the documents in the printer pile up, we have no way to track or check who owns it.

I'm looking for a solution to this. I want a tool that can help me put the initals/ account details of the person that printed the document on the printed document. This will increase accountability for printing and enable the documents owner to be easily located.

I asked Microsoft Helpdesk but they had nothing. I noticed that Microsoft Word stores personal information in documents.

All the computers used to print belong to a domain and we have account IDs and everything. How can I get initials on the bottom corner of the page so it is small and doesnt disrupt the document but can still be read by the IT manager?

Thank you 🙂
