office jet pro 6960

my printer tells me it has been locked by person who set up printer, which means I locked myself out. How do I get in to change wi-fi connection through HP?I tried shutting down the printer and reset but still locked. I don't know where I am supposed to log in on the computer to change my info and get rid of the locked info for my family to use the printer as well.

Thank you

Traci

@tracio,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out.

I understand that you are getting a message on your HP OfficeJet Pro 6960 All-in-One Printer has been locked.

And here's the step by step guide to restore the printer to its factory defaults:

To restore the printer to the original factory defaults:

1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).

2. Touch Printer Maintenance.

3. Touch Restore.

4. Touch Restore Factory Defaults. A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored.

5. Touch Continue.

Let me know how that works.

I hope you have a good day ahead.
