HELP anybody able to steer me in the direction of a driver that works with the new OS on my MAC as HP do not appear to have one?? Thanks in advance ..

Good Day. Thank you for taking an interest in the HP community. I understand that you require assistance with drivers for your printer after a MAC OS update. I will be really glad to assist you here. 🙂
Fabulous description and superb diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that. )
- Did you check the HP support page for updated drivers?
- Did you try the Mac Built-in drivers like from the Apple software update?
For now, try these steps:
- Please reset the Mac printing system from this link: http://hp.care/2gOrf2g
- Then use this link: http://hp.care/2sZPr6A to update the HP printer software using the Easy Start option.
- Please select the correct operating system before doing this. Then check if the issue gets resolved.
- If it continues, then download the basic drivers for this printer from this link: http://hp.care/2wU8ONm using the MAC software update.
This should do the trick for you.
Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, Going by your technical expertise and competence I am sure you will be able to perform these steps without breaking a sweat. 🙂
