Product: HP ENVY 4502
Operating System: macOS 10.14 Mojave

The latest Max OS X update (10.15 Catalina) only supports 64-bit apps.  When will HP update the drivers and/or Print Utility to be 64-bit is that I may use my printer again?

 

How can I trust that any future HP product I purchase will be compatible with "modern" operating systems?

When I navigated to System Information->Software->Apps, all of the HP Software is listed as 64-bit Intel (e.g.,

HP ENVY 4500 series 2, HP Scanner 3, HP Utility, hpdot4d) -- is that correct?  I would like to update to Catalina fairy soon, and it is imperative that I retain my printing / scanning capabilities.

Hi,

The HP Software does support 64-bit for a while.

 

Updated drivers should become available any time soon via HP Easy Start, please check your product page on HP Support during the next days, your operating system will be listed once a driver update will become available:

For now, you may use HP Smart to install your printer with AirPrint for print and scan capabilities:

No Joy!  This did not work for me.

 

I had to revert to Mac OS X 10.14 temporarily in order to continue using my printer/scanner.

 

Hopefully new software will appear soon.

I am having the same issue.   Have there been any advances in obtaining a solution to this issue ?  Frustrating does not begin to describe how I feel as the 'solutions' I keep having fired across to me are simply sending me around in circles
