The "Missing or failed printhead" error has been occurring for the past few days, and no amount of trouble shooting has fixed this. Hard resetting the printer does not work. I have taken the printhead out multiple times to try and reseat it properly. The printhead itself appears without damage or loose parts. The ink cartridges are correct for the model and are also seated properly. I have connected to the internet and ensured that the latest drivers have been downloaded. The only thing I have yet to try is send the whole printer in for service. It is out of warranty by 3 years, and I don't want to pay the cost. Should I just purchase a brand new printhead for ~$200, or would it be smarter to outright purchase a new printer? Any other trouble shooting tips or suggestions would be welcome. Thanks!
