HP 8610 Pro
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Complete printing communications failure with HP 8610 printer.
Error message: Missing ACLUI.dll

About  ACLUI.dll: It does exist in System32 directory
Environment: Win 10 Pro Israel/English with WiFi and fixed IP address.

Steps taken:
1. Complete uninstall/reinstall of software
2. Reset 8610 to factory defaults and reconfigure using hidden menu
After a post install reboot, the 8610  will queue one doc for printing. To actually print power off/on the unit. The doc prints. Thereafter nothing else prints. The Print "Doctor" throws up the above error.
Scan/fax appear to work OK.

Remarks:

1. This problem has been reported before, but no viable solution was posted.

2. Where does the HP driver SW expect to find this dll? Is there a registry entry that can be edited?

Further to this:

1. Run sfc /scannow.  It corrected a corrupt aclui.dll in SysWOW64

2. Further careful review of printer settings done with change of (default) domain from home to workgroup). Confirmed WiFi connections correct

3. Still nothing prints!

So:

1. Uninstall HP software completely (using the Revo Uninstaller)

2. Go to Devices and Printers

3. Remove all HP devices

4. Do Add Device. The HP 8610 printer is detected.

5. Select it and install the default Microsoft printer driver

Outcome:

It prints like a charm!

Well HP?
