HP OFFICEJET 3830 ALL-IN-ONE SERIES

Hi there,

I bought a second HP OFFICEJET 3830 ALL-IN-ONE SERIES for my home office and I’m wondering if there is a way to change the name that shows up on iPhone’s?

This would make it easier to know which printer to choose when printing.

Please see attached image, note I didn’t have a screenshot of my HP when connected.

Thanks

@michaelfagan, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Follow these steps to change the printer display name on your iOS device:

  • Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to obtain the IP address.
  • Type the IP address at the top of your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer/iOS device.
  • If you get any security notification, click on show details/advanced and 'proceed to this website'.
  • Go to the Network tab and under Bonjour / AirPrint, check for an option to change the printer display name.
  • Note: Bonjour function should be enabled.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
