My faxes stop after faxing only 3 pages. I tried running the fax set up wizard too .

Superb description and stupendous diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂

For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this.

  • Do you use a dedicated Fax line?
  • Does it happen only for one fax number or for all numbers in the list?
  • Did you change any fax settings lately?
  • Do you get any error messages?

For a start please perform these steps:

  • Please delete the fax setup and set it up again from scratch.
  • Then please follow all the prescribed steps from this link: http://hp.care/2uiJMcm for fax related issues.
  • IF you get any error messages then follow the steps from this link: http://hp.care/2uiU9gn and check again if it gets fixed.
  • If it still continues, test the fax line from this link: http://hp.care/2uiQ0ZW
  • The user guide link: http://hp.care/2uiWFDt  gives step by step instructions on how to set up and trouble shoot fax related issues. Please check pages 44-68 and pages 174-197

Please perform these steps one at a time. If any link or step resolves the issue, don't proceed to the other step or link.

Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, Going by your technical expertise and competence I am sure you will be able to perform these steps without breaking a sweat. 🙂

Hi David ,

Thanks for your reply ,

I was able to fix it last saturday there was an issue with the fax forwarding settings i turned it off and it worked fine after that . i turned off reduction too.
