Need MAC drivers for HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-in-One Printer series?

What do if I have a Mac that is stuck on Mac OSX 10.7?

Apple periodically end-of-life's older Macs, meaning Apple will not allow them to update beyond a certain version of Mac OSX such as above.

If I attempt to install the HP drivers, will they
(a) refuse to install

(b) are known to not work

(c) have not been tested

The macOS 10.7 is supported:

Download the HP Easy Start and then follow the instructions to install the HP Scan and HP Utilities.

It's a supported OS for your printer. 🙂

It's only a partial solution.

While the third party software, Readiris, may run on MacOS 10.7, the "HP Easy Start" is available only for MacOS 10.9 and later. You can select MacOS 10.7 or 10.8 in the HP website, but it does not provide a version of HP Easy Start to DL.
