HP Deskjet 3750
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I recently purchased an HP Deskjet 3750 and was told that the 301 cartridges I had for my old printer were compatible, so I tried them, getting an error message. When I put in the 304 cartridges supplied and tried to print, the response from the printer was that it was busy and simply didn't print.

Hi @Paigetheoracle1

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Find the compatible ink cartridges for the HP DeskJet 3750 All-in-One Printer below:

HP 301 ink cartridges are not compatible with this model printer. Let us try these steps to resolve the issue with the HP 304 ink cartridges.

Are there any lights blinking on the printer?

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

Also, perform steps 2 and 3 from this document mentioned under 'One or both ink level icons are blinking with no segment and the Ink Alert light is on or blinking'.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
