OfficeJet Pro 6970
macOS 10.12 Sierra
Just brought the new all in one OfficeJet Pro 6970 for my MacBook Pro with MacOS Sierra. 10.12.3. I downloaded the Easy Start from the HP Web Site. When I am running the Easy Start, I identified only Easy Scan software is required to be downloaded and installed. The Essential Software is missing in my installation. I recognised Essential Software should be also downloaded and installed but I failed to do.

To this, the function, scan to computer, is not properly worked.
My question is where I can download the Essential Software for MacOS Sierra.

Hi,

download and install the following software, this is the Essencial Software for your printer:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/hp-printer-esse...

 

Once the installation completes open System Preferences > Pritners & Scanner, double click the printer and select Pritner Options, then select the Utiltiy tab and press Open Utility.

 

From there you may cdonfigure Scan to computer.

 

If you experience any issues, delete HP Easy Scan from teh Applications folder, then install the following version:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/hp-easy-scan-1_...

Finally, ensure your drivers are up to date by clicking the Apple icon, select About this Mac and then press Software Update.
Click Store on the top menu bar, click Reload Page, click Update All if any updated are available.
