macOS 10.15 Catalina

Any idea when HP will issue software for support of 64 bit operating system MacOS Catalina?  Can't access my scanner at all, even trying to use Image Capture...scanner not found.

Hi,

Download and install below drivers package from Apple:

https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1888?locale=en_US

 

Once completing the install restart your Mac and open HP Easy Scan.

 

May you see any difference now?

 

If not, click the Apple icon and then About this Mac, hat exact version is listed?



Click the Yes button to reply that the response was helpful or to say thanks.

@ccornett49, Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

I understand you have issues with scanning. Below is the info that can help you-

 

MacOS 10.15.3 (released 1/28/2020) contains the fix for HP Easy Scan.  Once updated HP Easy Scan will be able to scan from the glass or the ADF as normal.

 

Scan to Computer is also fixed with 10.15.3.

 

If the printer is in sleep mode, some times an error will be reported.  But if you wake the printer by inserting a page in the ADF or touching the screen you will be able to scan normally.

Still not working.  Downloaded HP EasyScan V 1.9.1, and running Catalina 10.15.3.  HP OfficeJet Pro 8600+ reports:  "

Officejet Pro 8600 [8E8872] is currently unavailable. Please check if it is turned on and connected, or try again later."  Print function is OK.
