HP OfficeJet 4652
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Fairly frequently I get an error message which says "Print Filter Pipeline Host Crashed."  Can anyone tell me how to correct  this situation?

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂

I understand that you have an HP OfficeJet 4652 All-in-One Printer and there an error messahe stating "Print Filter Pipeline Host Crashed." I'll do my best to fix this issue with your HP printer.

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • Are you getting the error message on the printer screen or the computer?
  • Did any changes take place on the printer (paper jam, cartridge replacement, etc.) recently?
  • Did any software updates happen recently?
  • Is the printer able to make a copy?

Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
  • Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
  • Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
  • The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector. Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.

If the issue persists and the error appears on the computer then you may download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor program. This program will detect and fix any printer driver issues.

I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Please don't hesitate to reply. I'm always here to assist you. All the best! 🙂
