Product: ENVY 4520
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard and older

My co-worker bought an HP ENVY 4520 printer to hook up to his old e-mac running OS 10.4.11. (Cannot upgrade that machine's OS any further.) Is there a driver that will make this comination work, or should I advise him to return the printer? If it won't work, are there any printers currently available that will work on a Mac running OS 10.4.11?

Welcome to the HP Forums, this is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you want to connect the printer to Mac with 10.4 OS. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

 

I made a deep research on this.

And the driver for Mac 10.4.11 is not available for this printer.

Just following up to let you know I was able to print to a refurbished HP LaserJet 4200N, thus enabling printing from OS 10.4.11 and OS 9.2 in emulation. I know it was an obsure request since the OS was so old, but the 4200N is working great so far.
