Printer ran out of ink a little while ago and was throwing some errors that seemed to relate to the ink. Put in some new cartridges ($140 later) and all the errors went away, but it is printing like you can see in the test image below. I have tried cleaning printhead, aligning, calibrating, resetting to default settings, updating firmware, etc. This seems like something in the software is breaking. It does it when printing from computer and when doing test prints directly from the machine.

Hi @sgraden

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

If you have already performed the steps from the document Fixing Print Quality Problems and the issue persists, it could be a Printhead issue.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps!
