Colour laserjet Pro m452nw
Product Name: Colour laserjet Pro m452nw

I've set up my printer with downloading software. I printed a test page and it presents with a tick saying printing is enabled on the piece of paper.  I tried to prnt a document and it says printer is not connected.

I used to have it connected  and printing but somehow along the way it stopped printing wirelessly.  I have tried to set up wireless on printer's screen menu, it tells me to connect to the router by pushing the pushbutton and pressing WPS on router. It gives me a 2 minute countdown and fails to connect.

They do not connect.  THey are both on the same router.  How do I resolve please?

Thanks

Hi @ttcoopay,

Good Day.  Thank you for stopping by the HP forums. I understand that you are facing issues with a message that the wrong color cartridge is installed. I will be really glad to assist you here. 🙂

Great description and splendid diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂 You are a valued HP customer and it is paramount to assist you with it. I take it as a privilege to share this .

For better clarity, I would require more information regarding this to assist you?

  • Did you perform a hard reset on the printer?
  • Did you try with the old color cartridge and check if you get the error?

For a start please try these steps.

Please perform a hard reset on the printer. Steps:

  1. Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. Remove the cartridges from the printer
  4. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  5. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  6. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  7. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  8. Then install the cartridges back.
  • The try restarting router printer and computer by following this article. Click here to do it and follow only this option "Step 2: Restart devices and check driver scan settings"
  • Then restore the printer's factory defaults by clicking here for the user guide. refer page82
  • Then try and try again to connect to the network and print.
  • To resolve wireless connectivity issues refer pages 115-118 of the same user guide.
  • Please check these links out also for further assistance.
  • Click here for link 1 and follow the relevant steps.
  • Please check link 2 also by clicking here and perform all the relevant steps.
  • Please perform these steps diligently and patiently and this should do the trick for you.
