Printer problem

Hi - please help,

I've been given the above model printer, but when I try and print it goes to fax and not printer. I've downloaded drivers etc. What to do to fix PLEASE as it is driving me crazy (well crazier - LOL)

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Have you installed the FULL featured software?

This resource will be useful:

HP Deskjet 2652 & 2655: Download Install Software & Connect using HP Auto Wireless

Please ensure that your default printer is not Fax after installing the Drivers.  (go to Control Panel >  Devices and Printers >  Right Click to select Printer as "Default")

THANKS VERY MUCH FOR YOUR REPLY.

Sadly the above did not work. When I clicked onto the HP Officejet 2620 image and then right clicked as below - all came up as fax with no provision for printer. Each of the 'see what's printing' 'set as default printer' 'printer preferences' and 'printer properties' have a > and then 2 options for each > Fax - HP Officejet 2620 Series > Fax - HP Officejet 2620 Series (copy).

I seem to be unable to make any changes to get to printer.

What to do next PLEASE.

Was the printer software installed successfully?

We'd suggest to try and uninstall and reinstall the drivers.

Please Uninstall and Reinstall the FULL feature software following these steps:

1. Uninstall the software in your computer
2. Download and save the FULL feature software (do not install it online) - Skip this step if you have the downloaded drivers.

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.

3. Install the FULL feature “Saved” software

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
