Printer won't print correctly

HP Photosmart 6520
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently I purchased and installed new printer cartridges.  The printer quit printing good especially black, such as words, lines, numbers, etc.  I cleaned and aligned printheads and still no clear printing.  The new cartridges are HP 564 like I have always used.  I purchased them from Amazon but am not really sure its the cartridges.  I have done all I can think of here but maybe there is something else I could do.  Can you suggest anything?

Are you using genuine HP Ink cartridges or refilled ink cartridges. 

Have you tried to print the Print quality diagnostics report from the printer? Or What happens when you try to make a copy from the printer?

 

Let's try these steps here: 

 

Let's try to print the print quality diagnostic report from the printer. 

  1. Load plain white paper in the tray.

  2. On the printer, touch Settings, touch Tools, and then touch Print Quality Report.

Evaluate the report for any defects. 

  • If there are defects found, try the steps mentioned in this document

Alternatively, you can try to check if the old ink cartridges work.
