HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3835 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good day!

I've already successfully migrated my HP 15 Notebook PC from hdd to a new and faster ssd. Thank you for the previous help.
(Reference: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/FAILURE-ID-909XVR-7G19QM-XD7V6K...)

But ever since I've started using freshly setuped laptop (as well as my revived Asus X540UP, which I also migrated from hdd to ssd), I've been having troubles printing wirelessly with my HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3835 All-in-One Printer.

"Attention required" always pops up each and everytime I would print using my HP Notebook. What I'd do for the printing to proceed would be to turn off the Deskjet then turn it on. After the printer starts up, it resumes and completes the priting task.

On my Asus laptop, "Driver Unavailable" status always appears whenever I add the printer in Windows Setup, or during either basic or full installation the DeskJet's driver/application.

So I can't print wirelessly using my Asus laptop, and it's very tedious to print wirelessly using my HP Notebook!

Does these troubles happen to laptops with ssds in them?!

I've already tried these HP Community recommended solutions below serveral of times already! But neither of them work! They are the ff.:

1) https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Software-and-Drivers/Driver-Unavailable/td-p/6819842

2) https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Software-and-Drivers/attention-required/td-p/6628769

Can anyone here kindly point me to the right solution?

I hope and pray to hear a favorable response soon.

Respectfully,

RTO23

@RTO23, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

Download HP Print and Scan Doctor and run the program. It will automatically diagnose and fix any printer connectivity issues.

For more information, go to https://support.hp.com/us-en/topic/printscandoctor

If the issue persists, try adding a TCP/IP port.

  1. Print a Network Configuration Report from the Printer Settings or Wireless menu.
  2. Right-click your printer, select Printer Properties, click the Ports tab and then click Add Port.
  3. Select Standard TCP/IP Port, and then click New Port.
  4. Follow the instructions to add a new port using the information listed on the Network Configuration Report.
  5. Try printing.

Also, try adding a manual IP to the printer-

The steps on how to set a manual IP address can be found here.

For the DNS servers please use 8.8.8.8 for the Manual Preferred DNS Server and 8.8.4.4 for the Alternate DNS server. These are Google’s public DNS servers.

If you still have issues, try adding the printer using Windows built-in drivers.

  • Uninstall the existing printer drivers, restart the PC.
  • Go to Control Panel - Devices and printers - Click on "Add printer" and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • When the page prompts for the drivers, select "Windows update". The driver list will be updated.
  • Click HP, Hewlett Packard, or Hewlett-Packard in the Manufacturer pane, and then click the name of your printer in the Printers pane.

Refer to this document HP Printers - Installing and Using the Windows Built-in Print Driver for help.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
