Printout Quality from AutoCAD
09-18-2018 10:28 AM
I have had to change from a 7500 printer to a 7740 printer [the 7500 broke]
With the 7500 the lineweight from autoCAD wa exelant and gave very fine lines and details. printing the same material through th 7740 gives a heavy line nothing under 0.2mm. also block colour transparency % does not print. block colour is always 100%.
How do i get the line quality back and achieve colour densities required???

Welcome to HP forums, I see that you are getting print quality issues.
- Did you try to print from a different application and check if that prints fine?
Meanwhile, print a print quality diagnostic page
-
Load plain white paper in the input tray.
-
On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon
.
-
Swipe up on the display, touch Reports, and then touch Print Quality Report.
A Print Quality Diagnostic Page prints.
Figure : Example of a Print Quality Diagnostic Page
and check how does it print.
Reply with the result of the above-mentioned steps, for further assistance.
Cheers.

SaandyTechy20, Thanks for replying.
I've tried al lthat and it still prints thick lines from Autocad.
It is very disapointing to go from one HP printer which was giving exelent copies to a newer better hp printer which isn't.

Can you send me the same private message about the 7740 printing broblem?
Also why you send private messages and not public at the forum?
If you have the solution please give to all the forum members...

I tried to give back the printer. It was not possible.
But i "solve" the problem by buying an EPSON printer L1300, with great quality when you print from autocad!!!

If the solution is to buy an Epson, perfect 🙂
We will have to replace our HP DesignJet 500 soon, so Epson will it be, or Canon etc...

Printout Quality from AutoCAD

Hi,
I have exactly the same problem with CAD lines. We changed the printer from another HP model, and this one, costing more, has ruined all of our drawings. I have tested setting the plotstyles all the way down to 0.000mm and there is no change to what a 0.5mm line thickness. We urgently need assistance of this as we are having to outsource all of our printing and it feels as such a waste.
Thank you
Diego
