I tried removing and adding the printer again, but it turns out OJ Pro 8600 Plus does not support AirPrint. Is there another way around to print while HP comes up with another driver/fix to this issue? Thanks

@wmejia75, Welcome to HP Support Community!

The HP Officejet 8600 Printer Series is AirPrint compatible. Refer to the document HP Printers - Mobile Printing Solutions Compatible with HP Printers.

Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. For more information, go to Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware.

Uninstall with the HP Uninstaller

The HP Uninstaller is a software application that is installed during the initial printer software installation.

  1. Click Finder in the Dock.
  2. In the menu bar, click Go, click Applications, and then open the HP or Hewlett Packard folder.
    • If HP Uninstaller is in the folder, double click it, and then follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the software.
    • If HP Uninstaller is not in the folder, continue to the next step.
  3. Click and drag the HP or Hewlett Packard folder to the Trash icon in the Dock.
  4. In the menu bar, click Go, click Go to Folder, type /Library/Printers, then click Go. The Printers folder opens.
  5. Click and drag the HP or Hewlett Packard folder to the Trash icon in the Dock.
  6. Restart the Mac.
  7. Right-click or Ctrl + click the Trash icon, and then select Empty Trash.

Install the latest drivers from here. Once the printer is configured, try printing.

Also, you can try adding the printer using AirPrint drivers-

Click the Apple menu, and then select System Preferences.

Depending on your operating system version, click Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners.

Click the name of your printer, click the Minus sign, and then delete the printer.

Select printer and click the minus sign

Click the Plus sign, and then click Add Printer or Scanner.

Click the Use or Print Using box, and then select AirPrint

Select AirPrint from the Use menu

Click Add to add the printer to the list.

Try to print.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
