I was having trouble with the scanner so I reinstalled my printer - adding a "2" after the name. Big mistake. Now my computer (iMac) is the only thing that will print. The iPads and other computer appear to be trying to use the first computer installation. So nothing gets printed unless I use the iMac and choose the new name.

 

edited-Now I made it worse. I hit the "disable all" under the device settings while on the second printer name and now I cannot access the printer at all. Now I can't print at all. I need HELP!

I see that you are having issues while printing using your Officejet printer. Do not worry, we can easily fix this issue by following the steps below:

 

  • Click the Apple menu icon, and then click “System Preferences”.
  • Click “Printers and Scanner” / “Print and Scan” or “Print and Fax”.
  • Right-click the blank space in the Printers list, and then click “Reset printing system”.
  • Click “Reset” in the confirmation window.
  • Enter an administrator username and password, and then click “OK”.
  • Wait until the printing system is reset and no devices show in the Printers list
  • Restart your computer and then go back to System preferences – Printers and scanners.
  • Click the “Add button” (+).
  • Find, and then select the name of your printer from the printer list, and then click “Add” to add your printer.
  • Click “Print Using...”, and then select the name of your printer (By default “Airprint” would be selected)
