When sending a direct pdf print job the printer displays the following messages:

(Highlighted in yellow) "Data received."
(Not highlighted) "For Help Press ?"

After pressing ? the following message appears:

"Print data has been received that may not be complete. To print the existing data, press OK. To exit help and wait for the command to print the last page, press ?"

When the OK button is pressed, the entire print job completes.

The print jobs are roughly 15mb and the onboard printer memory is 512mb.  I'm able to print these files using any PDF reader but not utilizing direct PDF. I've tried using the following drivers to no avail:

HP Universal Printing PCL 5
HP Universal Printing PCL 5(v6.1.0)

HP Universal Printing PCL 6

HP Universal Printing PCL 6 (v6.3.0)

HP Universal Printing PS (v6.2.1)

Hi,

If you looking at the print queu, you can see the PDF is HUGE, not 15MB therefore it has to wait. In many cases, smaller printers may give message out of memory and won't print at all.

Regards.

This error remains until you interact with the printer by pressing OK. This is specifically related to sending directPDF/NativePDF print jobs, not print jobs using a PDF reader.

I'm a bit confused by your description of the problem.

You say that you are "... sending directPDF/NativePDF print jobs, not print jobs using a PDF reader ... ", which (to me) implies that you are sending the content of a nominated PDF file as a byte stream direct to the printer port.

[As an aside, how are you doing this? using 'lpr' from a command-prompt window, or what?]

But you also mention that you've tried various drivers - if you are printing direct, then you would not be invoking use of a printer driver.

How are your PDF files terminated? With "%%EOF", or what?
