Product: HP Officejet Pro 8610
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I pulled my HP Officejet Pro 8610 out of the box this morning and followed the guide to set it up.  Now the display screen on the printer has been displaying, " Preparing Printer..."  for 1 1/2 hours.  Does it take this long or should I pull the plug?  It will not power off via the power button.  Help!!!
