@FrankCaut, Welcome to HP Support Community!

SWHelper is not a part of the HP Software package. You may have to check with Apple about this.

You can also refer to the document https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202491 (This is a third-party link. Please do not click on any ad, image, download, popup or link or anywhere else as this is a third-party link meant only for viewing information).

Keep me posted.

Hi, so I declined the SWHelper and now the HP Easy Scan Software can not be install. I tried several times and I always get the message with SWHelper which I always decline.

Can you help me here?

Greetings

@Anna79

Thanks for replying!

Unfortunately, HP Easy Scan is not currently supported in macOS Catalina.  HP is working with Apple to get HP Easy Scan and Scan to computer back to full functionality as quickly as possible. I would recommend you to go through a similar post that speaks about the scanning issues after Mac OS update.

Also, try using the HP Smart App to scan. Refer to the document HP Printers - Using the HP Smart App (Mac) for help.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I have the same problem noted above - same SWHelper message.  In essence, I am screwed!  Shame overpriced big companies can't get their act together.  I'll have to buy a different printer - cheaper than buying a new Apple.

Can you please email me the information... I have the same exact issue.  Can not scan, redownloaded software, can not update or install since the SW Helper keeps popping up. Thank you!

Welcome to HP support community.

Provide the printer model number or the product number?

Which operating system is installed on the computer to which this printer is connected?

Reply with the requested information for more assistance.

Cheers.
