HP Color Laserjet 5550dn
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently updated the HP Universal Printer Driver following a Windows 10 update. In 'Devices and Printers' I now have my HP 5550dn correctly installed and set as default. But when I open the printer dialogue in any software, I see TWO versions; 'HP color Laserjet 5550dn' and 'HP color Laserjet 5550dn '(copy1)'. Selecting either satisfies the software, but only 'copy 1' results in actual printing. How do I get rid of the other?

Did you try restarting print spooler first and restarting the computer after?

Open control panel ->devices and printers right mouse click on the one you want to remove and select Remove device

As stated in my query, I could not do that, as only one printer is listed in 'Devices and printers'.
