Envy 5530
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Using USB connection, HP Printer Assistant has a dedicated tab for scanning with all the options.  Using wireless connection, there is no option to scan.  The wireless connection is working and I can print Word files etc.  Also, I can scan on the 5530 using the touch pad and it does transmit the files to my desktop, but that uses a Windows utility that offers to choice of file size, destination and so on.  Running troubleshooting routine offers to solution or upgrade of software to overcome this.

Many thanks.  After I posted I eventually figured out how to use it as a network printer.  However, I have downloaded HP scan and capture as you suggest and I think it is easier to use and more intuitive.  I appreciate your advice.
