I’ve been having issues with the Design Jet 4630 for a while now, receiving multiple error messages (I can’t get the most recent one without leaving this page so perhaps in a follow up) Also, ink cartridges will not move from right side when I open the printer. There are no paper jams, and I managed to remove the color cartridge. I checked other message boards with similar issues and disconnected the printer and held down the start button. After a couple of times reconnecting and getting the same error message now it won’t turn on at all.

Let us try these steps:

 

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

 

Check for any jams inside the printer and make sure the print carriage moves freely.

Refer to the steps in this document.

If the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer. 

 

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Did all of those things prior to asking the question. I guess I have no choice but to upgrade.
