I have two HP printers. Photosmart 7520 inkjet and P1606dn laser. However when I look at Devices and Printers, I see 6 additional printers that I know nothing about. 4 of them appear to be HP variants. Can I delete any of them?

You may  not need all of those.  What it does allow you to do is to set up DEFAULT print characteristics for whatever you need to print.  Maybe you always use double sided when you print document A.  Maybe you always use 8x14 paper for Document B.

So now when you print, you select the printer and it uses those default settings that you set up.  Otherwise, you must change the settings each time you print something different.
