I am getting black/blank dialogs after launching the install program "fullHP_Color_LJ_Pro_MFP_M277-full-solution-15343.exe" for the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277 series printer. I have installed many times before on Windows 10 systems without encountering any issues but latest try on new HP Pavilion 15 Model 15-dk0035cl laptop is not working? I see the launcher's progress splash working just fine but another black rectangular region (dialog window ?) appears soon after and I am never able to interact with the setup process to complete the installation. Other applications on the laptop such as MS Office as well as non-MS applications are working without issue. Furthermore, other installations for other printer manufactures worked as well and I am able to print using them.

I recommend you root uninstall the printer and then reinstall the printer and check whether the issue is resolved.
Here is how it is done.
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the PC
14.) Download and install the printer software from the below link.

First thanks for the reply + help. It is certainly appreciated. As to the first part, the HP installer never completed so there is no HP printer to remove / delete. As to the second part, the PRINTUI driver tab does not list any HP drivers so there are none to remove. Please, any other ideas as the issue seems to be right at the start with the installer "HP_Color_LJ_Pro_MFP_M277-full-solution-15343.exe". Here's what I see as first the splash and then the black square that should be a window managing the installation dialog with the user.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue
Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.
If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
Create a new user account and then try installing the HP Full-featured driver and check if that works.
Alternatively, you may use and install HP Smart app to print and scan from your PC/mobile device.

Also, you may install the printer using Windows built-in drivers.
