Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have an HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format e-All-in-One Printer and you're trying to install it on Win7 which is on a Mac computer. The printer does not seem to be detected with wireless or with USB. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • Do you receive an error message while trying to install the printer?
  • Are you installing the drivers from the disk or have downloaded from the HP website?

Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Please follow the steps from this link to setup the printer on a wireless network.
  • IF you plan for USB installation then leave the printer disconnected from the computer. During the installation, you will receive a prompt to connect the printer and that's when you may connect the USB to the printer. You could also connect the printer to a different USB port on the computer and if possible try using a different USB cable.

NOTE: You may download the Win7 compatible drivers from this link: http://hp.care/2kd8m75

If none of the above steps help then please download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor software. This will identify and guide us towards a solution.

I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Keep me posted. Cheers! 🙂
