Trying to connect this printer as wireless. It prints with a cable. I receive a message from Windows 8.1 that the USB connection is not recognized.

Reset the network settings
To reset the administrator password and network settings, press and hold (Wireless) button and (Cancel) button for three seconds.
Follow the steps mentioned in this HP document for the steps to setup the printer on WiFi connection:- Click here

Let's start off by running Windows update troubleshooter:
Download and install the troubleshooter from this link.
Now try to perform Windows Updates -
1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
You may also troubleshoot for USB Connections - Click here
