Deaskjet 3510
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have a Deskjet 3510 printer.  I just purchased a new HP black cartridge.  After a couple of daus I saw the ink level was about half full.  Previously I had a the HP extra black cartridge which seemed to run out quickly.  When i looked inside the printer, i saw an excessive buildup up of black ink on the absorbent pad inside the computer.  Apparently something is causing the cartridge to leak ink.  How do I fix this.

Hello, @jackiemanne – Hope you are well 🙂

Allow me to welcome to HP Support Forums! It is a great platform to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!

Going through your post, I understand that you had an issue with the ink cartridge leak inside your printer.

First off, make sure to clean the ink spilled inside the printer using a wet lint-free cloth. Thoroughly clean the paper path and the rollers. Once done, try cleaning the cartridge are as suggested here: http://hp.care/2oCoWPQ

If the issue persists, change the leaky cartridge and then try to print again.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!

Cheers 🙂
