Laserjet 3502, Lenovo Thinkpad
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Laserjet 3502 which I put onto my WiFi network using a bridge.  I have four Windows 10 laptops (Dell) that all print to this printer over TCP/IP.  My workplace has just given me a new Lenovo Thinkpad (Windows 10, 64 bit).  This computer cannot find the printer on the network, even when I manually type in the static IP address of the printer.  From the Command window on the Lenovo, I can ping the printer.  It doesn't matter if I use the Windows printer driver or install the HP Universal Print Driver.  In either case, the printer installation fails with the message shown belowinstall fail.png

Oops.  My printer is a Laserjet 3052, not a 3502!

Please check with your IT people at work first. I had same situation before (I'm a retiree now) and my IT manager simply said NO. If I wish to print on my printer at home I have to email to its email address (I used to test HP printers, not now).

 

Later, they banned us to print out side, they also use a software to scan all our outgoing emails.
