Hi,

I would rather suspect a driver problem from the screenshot.

Try following below version of the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility by selecting your printer:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

Be sure to restart your PC and allow the utility to complete the process, then check for any difference.

Try printing and check for any change, if the same remains try printing using the newly added print queue copy and check.

If the issue persists, please let us know your exact printer model.

Well I ran the new Print and Scan Doctor ... I then did a computer restart... I then used the 4520 printer to print a file that would exceed one page... I worked it printed on both sides of the paper without the intervening popup window... I am not sure how this corrected the problem but it did.  One other item that puzzles me is that the properties display for that device under events shows the following what appears to be an error indication (requires further installation).
