HP releases Unauthorized firmware update, crippling printersusing 3rd partytonercartridges.

My CP1025NW has been working fine, and now all of the sudden, I can't print because of an error stating I'm using non-hp toner.

Who the hell do you people think you are?

I paid for the printer, it's well out of warranty, and now I can't use it because you sabotaged it.

I paid for the toner cartridges--are you going to re-imburse me for what I paid for them if I have to purchase your crappy cartridges?

This is not going to fly.

What is your firmware version?  What makes you think the cartridge rejection is due to a firmware change and not a cartridge issue? The HP site lists the last firmware for the CP1025NW as version 20160412 from April 2016.
