I don;t know why my Laserjet M1217 show in screen " Used supply in use" , Would you please kindly tell me what happenning of my printer.

chung123, this error message indicates that he toner supply that is in the machine has been previously used. This message can relate to low/out toner or if the toner has been refilled.

My recommendation is to replace the toner cartridge.

I am having this same message "Used Supply in use" and cannot print.  My printer was in storage for 6 months (we moved) and had a brand new cartridge put in prior to that period.  My toner cannot be low, and the cartridges are a bit too expensive to throw away good ones.  Please advise.

Hi I purchased a new HP LaserJET cart   55x / CE255X  Product code 33151432166 from Sams Club and validated that it is HP Genuine from the verification site.  The printer is reporting that the "used supply is in use".   The printer is a HP LaserJet P3015 Printer with the latest firmware V.4397.FF.   I cold reset the printer and it still sees the cart as used.   Is Sams club selling used cart. as new and hacked the HP Seal or is there an issue with the P3015 identifying the 55x / CE255X ?

 

Any assistance on this would be helpful. I tried everything.

mr_balducci : I'm having the same issues with a new 55x and new 55a toners from staples.  Very frustrating as this is the first toner put into this new printer and our other 5 HP P3015dn printers have never had this issue.  Went through all 'resolutions' I could find online but none worked.  I'm going to just ignore as we can still print.
