I am having no luck re-installing this printer and it is practically new. I have re-installed it numerous times, and none of the previous fixes is working. Anyone have a permanent solution? I am tempted to return this printer because it's happening all the time now.

The printer supports both the 2.4ghz and the 5ghz band. Possibly it is waking up and one time it connects at 5ghz and the other time at 2.4ghz and gets a different IP address.
It is likely your modem has the same SSID (name) for the 2.4ghz and the 5ghz bands. You should log into the modem and change the name of the 2.4ghz band and then connect the printer using that SSID.
Alternately, watch this video and set the printer to use only the 2.4 or 5ghz band

If you have a flex system (multiple Wi-Fi boosters) then the IP allocation for the printer needs to be fixed. That has to be done by logging into the modem and bring up the DHCP server. Look for the printer's IP address and make the allocation fixed so it aways gets the same IP address when it makes a connection. this can be avoided by using WiFi direct.
Setup video for WiFi Direct. This is for when you do not have access to the modem

You can get the PIN and any passwords from a printer report as described on page 9 of the users manual.
Page 22 shows how to use the WPS or push button method but you need access to the modem to be able to do this.
