Hi @CENDYMARTIN,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Envy 5540 All-In-One Printer is not connecting to HP Instant Ink or HP's page, here are a few troubleshooting steps to try.
Check Internet Connection
Ensure your printer is properly connected to the internet:
- Restart your Wi-Fi router.
- Confirm that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
- Check the printer’s control panel to see if there’s any error related to connectivity.
Restart Printer
Restart the printer by turning it off, unplugging it for a minute, and plugging it back in. After restarting, try connecting to the HP Instant Ink service again.
Update Firmware
Make sure the printer’s firmware is up to date:
- Go to the HP Support website and download the latest firmware for your model.
- Follow the instructions to update the firmware using your computer or through the printer’s settings.
Re-establish HP Instant Ink Connection
You may need to re-enroll or reconnect the printer to the HP Instant Ink service:
- Log into your HP Instant Ink account.
- Remove the printer from the account and then add it back using the correct printer email or enrollment code.
Check Printer Settings
- On the printer's screen, navigate to Settings > HP Web Services and ensure that Web Services are enabled. Web Services are required for HP Instant Ink.
- If not, enable them and follow any on-screen instructions to set it up.
Clear Printer Cache
If possible, reset the web services on your printer:
- Go to Settings > HP Web Services > Remove Web Services.
- Once removed, add Web Services back and try connecting to HP Instant Ink again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
