macOS 11.0 Big Sur

The usual WIFI and telephone did not work at my office on Friday, so I used a public WIFI on my laptop and added the same WIFI on my printer. The blue WIFI sign was on. My computer WIFI worked es well, but the computer indicated that the printer was offline. It is super difficult to understand how both systems are connected. What do I have to do to connect printer with computer through the other WIFI, so that I can print again ?

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting printer offline error, I am glad to assist you.

It is not advised to connect the printer to the public WiFi network.

Perform a ping test to check the connectivity

  1. Click Applications > Utilities > Terminal.
  2. type ping "IP address" and press enter

Wait until 10 pings have been performed and then press ctrl c on the keyboard and hit return.

The results will appear.

 Share the ping test results.

Keep me posted.

Cheers.
