I bought an HP Envy 6055e second hand and have been trying to set it up, but it appears that the previous owner did not properly prepare it for resale by removing it from their account. As far as I can tell from what I've read online I need to perform a factory reset in order to remove the previous owner so that I'll be able to use it. I do not know the previous owner so am unable to ask them to do this. I tried following some instructions online to reset (holding down the wireless and power buttons with the door open) but it didn't work and I'm not sure this was the correct way to do this. I am using my phone, which has an Android 14 operating system and I also have a computer with windows 10.

Hi @MoonK,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are facing an issue with setting up your printer.

Are you able to make a copy on the printer standalone after installing the ink cartridges? (Place an original document on the scanner glass and make a copy to confirm hardware is working fine)

To understand the issue and help you, please share the details listed below:

- Error messages or Blinking lights (if any) on the unit.

- How are you trying to connect your printer to the device from which you want to print, wireless or USB cable?

Note: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

Take care and have a great day ahead!
